Wow---has it really been over 4 months?!

Yes, I'm still here.

Sorry I haven't updated anything lately. My current weight is 138...yay!!. I'm almost to my goal weight. But have to admit that these winter days/nights are making it hard to stay on track.

I'm giving myself some slack until after the holidays and then will hopefully be able to pick up where I left off.

So, I did run my 1st 5K in October ....and finished. It was GREAT!!! I'm definitely hooked now. Who would have thought?

While watching The Biggest Loser a couple of weeks ago, I decided that if they could run a marathon....why couldn't I?

My "early" New Years Resolution is I AM GOING TO RUN A MARATHON IN 2011. The St. Jude Marathon is run every December, and do or die, I'm going to participate in the next one.

It gives me a whole year to prepare. Plus, it's nice to have a goal - something to really give yourself that extra push. And the more people that are aware of what I'm doing, the less chance I will have to quietly back out.

Some other things that I've been thinking about tackling in the coming year:

1. Becoming a certified Yoga instructor. I love yoga - but right now with the holidays, etc...I haven't been able to attend my regular yoga class and I really miss it. Yoga is excellent for just being able to quiet my mind and focus. I love the way it stretches your body and massages many of the organs inside your body as well to help keep them functioning properly. If you have ever watched a yoga program on t.v. and thought it was way beyond what you would be capable of doing, I encourage you to check out your local yoga studio. They have many classes for beginners only and those with limited capabilities. The benefits you will gain from these classes are immense.

2. Getting my certification as a nutrition counselor. I have looked into this and I'm still on the fence...we'll just have to see.

2011 is abounding with endless opportunities and possibilities. I am so thankful for all the people that have come into my life in 2010, who have been so caring and supportive. I will always be grateful!

Happy Holidays to all!
